Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) sets out the rules for using the Skriptr mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this Policy.

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Use. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.

2. Prohibited Uses

Users shall not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe the rights of any third party (including privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or trade-secret rights)
  • Upload, transmit, or generate unlawful, defamatory, threatening, or harassing content
  • Bypass or circumvent security measures or access controls
  • Conduct any malicious, fraudulent, or abusive activities
  • Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service by automated means without prior written consent
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation with a person or entity

Users are solely responsible for complying with all applicable recording, wiretapping, and privacy laws in their jurisdiction, including obtaining any legally required consent prior to recording any individual.

Many jurisdictions require all parties to a conversation to consent to the recording. Other jurisdictions require only one party to consent. It is the User's responsibility to know and follow the laws that apply to them.

The Company assumes no liability for unlawful recordings made by Users.

4. Sensitive Data

The Service is not designed for classified government information, regulated medical records subject to HIPAA or equivalent laws, attorney-client privileged communications, or highly sensitive national security data.

Users are solely responsible for determining the suitability of the Service for their intended use, particularly when handling regulated, classified, or otherwise sensitive content.

5. Content Standards

All User Content must comply with applicable laws. In particular, you must not create, upload, transmit, or share User Content that:

  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of another's privacy
  • Infringes any intellectual property rights of any party
  • Contains viruses or any other code designed to interrupt, damage, or limit the functionality of any software or hardware
  • Facilitates or promotes illegal activity

6. Enforcement

The Company reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this Policy. We may, without limitation:

  • Remove or disable access to any User Content that violates this Policy
  • Suspend or terminate the accounts of Users who violate this Policy
  • Report violations to law enforcement authorities
  • Cooperate with lawful government requests for information

We are not obligated to monitor the Service for violations but reserve the right to do so.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date of the most recent revision will be indicated at the top of this document.

Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email to registered Users.
